Dollar Limit Increase to the Term Contract for Electrical Services for Utilities Infrastructure for the Water Resources Department (Citywide)
The department is requesting a one-time dollar limit increase for the Northwest Water Reclamation Plant (NWWRP) Breaker Replacement Project. There is a known issue with the five existing main breakers at the NWWRP which may cause the breakers to trip and not be reset. In the event of breaker failure, plant operations could be interrupted resulting in regulatory non-compliance. This contract will provide for the ordering of breakers and related equipment and labor costs.
The Water Resources Department and Purchasing recommend increasing the dollar limit with Swain Electric, Inc. by $400,000 through May 18, 2025, based on estimated project requirements.
