Use of a Cooperative Contract for a Four-Year and Two-Month Term Contract for Trash, Recycle, and Compost Barrel Lids for the Environmental Management and Sustainability Department (Citywide)
This contract will provide black, green, and blue 95-gallon barrel lids. The City currently does not have a contract with Rehrig for replacement barrels. Lids are the most replaced part of a barrel, at a lesser cost and more environmentally friendly than replacing the entire barrel.
The Environmental Management and Sustainability Department and Purchasing recommend authorizing the purchase using the Omnia Partners cooperative contract with Rehrig Pacific Company, at $150,000 annually, with an annual increase allowance of up to 5%, or the adjusted Consumer Price Index.
