Use of Cooperative Contracts for Term Contracts with renewal options for Science and Lab Supplies and Equipment for the Water Resources Department (Citywide)
This contract provides laboratory consumables, supplies, and equipment for the Water Resources Compliance Laboratory and the water treatment and wastewater treatment plants. Due to current issues with long lead times in obtaining laboratory supplies, City staff determined awarding multiple vendors to this contract would be beneficial. The goal is to improve the availability of needed products at the best possible pricing.
The Water Resources Department and Purchasing recommend authorizing the purchase using cooperative contracts: OMNIA Partners with Fisher Scientific; NCPA with McKesson Medical-Surgical Government Solutions; Sourcewell with Carolina Biological; and State of Arizona with VWR International, LLC, at $200,000 annually, based on estimated usage.
