Ratification of the Emergency Purchase for Refuse Truck Repairs for the Environmental and Sustainability Department (as requested by the Fleet Services Department) (Citywide)
In May, one of the Solid Waste front loader refuse trucks caught fire and needed to be repaired to get the vehicle back into operation. Due to the damage from the fire and the nature of repairs required for the refuse truck, Fleet Services had to send this vehicle to AMREPS’s local sole source dealer, Wastequip WRX, to complete the repairs.
The Environmental and Sustainability and Fleet Services Departments and Purchasing recommend ratifying the purchase from the contract with AMREP Manufacturing Company, LLC, at $33,443.90.
