Title: Three-Year Term Contract with Two Years of Renewal Options for Drip Drop Oral Rehydration System for the Mesa Fire and Medical Department (Sole Source) (Citywide) In performing their job duties, firefighters often need dehydration relief. After performing a pilot program MFMD's Safety Committee has recommended moving forward with Drip Drop rehydration powder packets. It contains a blend of electrolytes (magnesium, calcium, and chloride) and sugar and has a higher sodium content compared to Gatorade. The Mesa Fire and Medical Department and Purchasing recommend awarding the contract to the sole source vendor, Drip Drop Hydration, Inc., at $60,000 annually, with an annual increase allowance of up to 5%, or the adjusted Consumer Price Index.
