Title: Purchase of a Mobile Six-Camera Video System for the Police Department (Citywide) This system provides information collection and security for high-profile events and situations, as well as enhances the current IP video surveillance system. Mesa Police Department's Homeland Security Unit is participating in a regional project with other local agencies, including Phoenix, Tempe, and the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, to purchase like systems and equipment that will allow compatibility of camera systems with other agencies in the Valley. The Police Department and Purchasing recommend authorizing the purchase using the City of Tempe cooperative contract with KTAC Communications, at $202,130.01. This purchase is grant funded by the Arizona Department of Homeland Security.
