One-Year Term Contract with One-Year Renewal Options for Emergency Vehicle Preemption Equipment for the Transportation Department (Sole Source) (Citywide)
The Transportation Department's Intelligent Transportation Systems operation utilizes Emergency Vehicle Preemption (EVP) systems and equipment at approximately 400 signalized intersections for the purpose of expediting emergency response and providing public safety. This EVP equipment is required to maintain current systems and to provide new EVP systems at City intersections identified by the Mesa Fire and Medical Department.
The Transportation Department and Purchasing recommend awarding the contract to the sole source vendor, A & M Signal, LLC at $250,000 annually, with an annual increase allowance of up to 5%, or the adjusted Consumer Price Index.
