Use of a Cooperative Contract for a One Year Term Contract with Four Years of Renewal Options for Refrigerated Liquid Carbon Dioxide for the Water Resources Department (Citywide)
This contract provides refrigerated liquid carbon dioxide which is required for the water treatment process at the Signal Butte Water Treatment Plant. This chemical is considered critical to the operation of the plant as it is used in the production of drinking water for the City.
The Water Resources Department and Purchasing recommend authorizing the purchase using the Strategic Alliance for Volume Expenditures (S.A.V.E.)/City of Tempe cooperative contract with Reliant Gases, LTD, at $150,000 annually, with an annual increase allowance of up to 5%, or the adjusted Consumer Price Index.
