Purchase and Installation of 19 Methane Detection Sensors (Replacements) for the Fleet Services Department (Sole Source) (Citywide)
Fleet Services’ gas detection system was originally purchased and installed in 2016 by Benson Systems. The manufacturer’s recommendation is to replace the sensors after five-years to prevent outages and to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.
The Fleet Services Department and Purchasing recommend awarding the contract to the sole source vendor, Benson Systems, at $85,366.40.
