Title: Use of a Cooperative Contract for the Purchase of Six Emergency Response Vehicles (Additions) for the Mesa Fire and Medical Department (Citywide) The new, emergency medical vehicles will provide life-saving transportation capabilities to the citizens of Mesa. This purchase is in support of the transition to the City providing both Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) transport services. The purchase will increase the City’s fleet to 28 vehicles. The vendor currently estimates delivery 20-24 months after receipt of order. The Mesa Fire and Medical Department and Purchasing recommend authorizing the purchase using the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) cooperative contract with Professional Sales & Service, LC, for $2,225,565. This purchase is funded by the Ambulance Transport Fund.
