Three-Year Term Contract with Two-Year Renewal Options for Parts and Repair Services for Pierce Fire Apparatus for the Mesa Fire and Medical Department (Sole Source) (Citywide)
The City currently has 45 Pierce Manufacturing units in its fleet. This contract will provide manufacturer-authorized parts and components. The contractor will also perform specialized repairs, including major body and accident-related repairs, as needed. These services will address unexpected repairs requiring factory certification or specialized expertise that cannot be performed by City staff.
The Mesa Fire and Medical Department and Procurement Services recommend awarding the contract to the sole source vendor, Hughes Fire Equipment, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $475,000 annually, with an annual increase allowance of up to 5% or the adjusted Consumer Price Index.
