Dollar Limit Increase to the Cooperative Term Contract for McNeilus Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Refuse Parts for the Fleet Services Department (Citywide)
McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing Company is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for a type of refuse body owned by the City. Certain critical parts must be sourced directly from the OEM and having a contract in place ensures continuity of service. Under this contract, Haaker Equipment Company is the only authorized local vendor for supplying these OEM parts . Due to the escalating cost of parts and a growing volume of purchases, an increase has become necessary. As the fleet continues to age, vehicles require more complex and expensive repairs.
The Fleet Services Department and Procurement Services recommend increasing the dollar limit with Haaker Equipment Company by $100,000, from $100,000 to $200,000 for Year 1 and by $200,000 from $100,000 to $300,000 for subsequent years.
