Three-Year Term Contract with Two Years of Renewal Options for Ferrous Chloride for the Water Resources Department (Citywide)
The Water Resources Department operates approximately nineteen sulfide odor control stations. Ferrous chloride is a chemical that is used in the wastewater treatment process to control odor by mitigating hydrogen sulfide formation. The chemical is critical to protect public health and the City's wastewater assets.
An evaluation committee recommends awarding the contract to the two, highest scored proposals from Pencco, Inc. and Kemira Water Solutions, Inc., at $2,408,000 annually, with an annual increase allowance of up to 5%, or the adjusted Consumer Price Index.
