Use of a Cooperative Contract for the Purchase of One Light-Duty Rescue/Medical Unit (Addition) for the Mesa Fire and Medical Department (Citywide)
The Rescue/Medical Unit responds to lower-level medical calls, and some non-emergency calls. This keeps frontline apparatus available for higher-level emergency calls. The vendor currently estimates delivery 20-22 months after receipt of order.
The Mesa Fire and Medical Department and Purchasing recommend authorizing the purchase using the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) cooperative contract with Professional Sales & Service, LC, for $268,333.83. This purchase is funded by General Fund Capital.
