Purchase of One Gas Chromatograph Mass Selective Detector/Flame Ionization Detector (Replacement) for the Mesa Police Department (Sole Source) (Citywide)
This purchase for the Toxicology unit will replace an older unit that has reached the end of its useful life. The equipment will be used to test blood/urine specimens for the presence of impairing volatile substances.
The Mesa Police Department and Procurement Services recommend awarding the contract to the sole source vendor, Agilent Technologies, at $137,000. This purchase is funded by Life Cycle Funds.
