It is recommended that the contract award be increased by $904,246.58 (to include $822,042.35 construction change order request, plus 10% Change Order allowance), for a total award of $10,400,844.41. This increase will accommodate additional improvements of curb and gutter, sidewalks, storm drain system and the extension of the City's public water distribution system. The new total project award amount of $10,400,844.41 is comprised of the lowest responsible bid of $8,633,270.75, construction change order request of $822,042.35, plus a 10% change order allowance of $945,531.31.
