These purchases include replacement PPE for current members based on wear, damage, and end-of-life requirements, as well as new helmets and gear for incoming recruits and personnel receiving promotions. The contract also emphasizes particulate blocking features within structural PPE to enhance protection against carcinogens and help mitigate known cancer risks among fire service personnel.
