Purchase of Two Nitrogen Generators (Replacements) (Citywide)
Forensic Services and the Toxicology Unit use nitrogen generators to run instruments for analyzing evidence. The current generators are in disrepair and replacing them will ensure all analyses are completed in a timely manner.
City staff recommends authorizing the purchase using the Sourcewell cooperative contract with Atlas Copco, at $49,157.37, based on estimated requirements. The purchase of one generator is grant-funded ($26,000) by the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission.
