Purchase of a Heavy-Duty Construction Truck with Dump Body (Addition) for the Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities Department as requested by the Fleet Services Department (Citywide)
This heavy-duty dump truck is required for cleaning parks, and will be used primarily for Signal Butte Park. It will also be used to clean up debris from the canal and water treatment plant nearby after rain storms.
The Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities and Fleet Services Departments, and Purchasing recommend approving the purchase from the existing contract with Freightliner of Arizona, at $212,687.24, based on estimated requirements. This purchase is funded by the Environmental Compliance Fee.
