Purchase of an X-Ray Kit for the Police Department (Sole Source) (Citywide)
This purchase of a Nexray FPX Nano X-Ray Kit is for the Police Department’s existing bomb unit. The new equipment is lightweight and versatile, can scan both small and large items down range, and can be operated from a safe distance. The Nexray FPX Nano X-Ray Kit is the standard kit for the bomb squads in the Valley and squads across the country.
The Police Department and Purchasing recommend authorizing the purchase with Atlantic Diving Supply, at $36,704.89, based on estimated requirements. This purchase is grant-funded by the Arizona Department of Homeland Security.
