One-Year Renewal with a One-Year Renewal Option to the Term Contract for Tire Recapping Services for the Fleet Services Department (Citywide)
This contract provides tire maintenance and repair services for the City’s fleet of heavy-duty vehicles. The City recaps approximately 1,550 tires each year. The average cost of a recapped truck tire is approximately one-third the price of a new tire.
The Fleet Services Department and Purchasing recommend authorizing the renewal with Jack’s Tire & Oil Management Co., Inc., dba Jack’s Tire & Oil, at $400,000 annually, an annual increase allowance of up to 5%, or the adjusted Producer Price Index.
