One-Year Term Contract with Four Years of Renewal Options for Replacement Batteries and Remote Battery Management Systems for Traffic Signal Systems for the Transportation Department (Citywide)
This contract will provide replacement batteries and remote battery management systems per specifications for traffic signal systems. Batteries supply DC power to the traffic signal cabinet in the event of a power outage. Remote battery management systems provide a real-time evaluation of the battery health such as voltages, temperatures and internal battery resistance.
The Transportation Department and Purchasing recommend awarding the contract to the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder, Sierra Transportation & Technologies LLC, at $82,000 annually, with an annual increase allowance of up to 5%, or the adjusted Producer Price Index.
