Title: Purchase of Fire Station Alerting System Equipment Upgrade for 20 Fire Stations for the Mesa Fire and Medical Department as requested by the Information Technology Department (Sole Source) (Citywide) This project will enhance the existing fire station alerting system to include additional color-coded display devices and additional message boards. The system has demonstrated reductions in response times, providing citizens of these communities unparalleled protection, saving lives and property. The Phoenix G2 Alerting standard has been adopted by the Phoenix Fire Department and allows Mesa and Phoenix to enter into Interoperability Agreements / Mutual Aid Agreements to provide better service and protection to these communities. The Information Technology Department, Mesa Fire and Medical Department and Purchasing recommend authorizing the purchase with US Digital Designs, at $328,750, based on estimated requirements. This purchase is funded by the General Fund Capital.
