Title: Purchase of a Heavy Haul Truck (Replacement) for the Transportation Department as requested by the Fleet Services Department (Citywide) This purchase will provide a heavy haul, low body transport that is capable of hauling the department’s new Caterpillar PM312 cold planer and large equipment on a daily basis. The vehicle that is being replaced has met established criteria and it will be retired as part of the ongoing vehicle replacement program. The Transportation and Fleet Services Departments, and Purchasing recommend authorizing the purchase using the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) cooperative contract with Inland Kenworth (U.S.), Inc., at $179,529.35. This purchase is funded by the Local Streets Fund.
