Title: Purchase of Five Light-Duty Pickup Trucks (Replacements) for the Mesa Fire and Medical Department (Citywide) This purchase is for one pickup truck to be used as an on-scene response unit to fire and medical calls, and four to be used as Battalion Chief response units. The vehicles that are being replaced are part of the ongoing vehicle replacement program managed by Mesa Fire and Medical. These vehicles have met established criteria and will be either traded, auctioned, sold, or deployed to special uses. The Mesa Fire and Medical Department and Purchasing recommend authorizing the purchase from the existing contract with Larry H. Miller Ford (formerly Berge Ford) (a Mesa business), at $36,831.33; and PFVT Motors, LLC, dba Peoria Ford at $180,679.84; for the combined total of $217,511.17. This purchase is funded by the Capital - General Fund.
