Contract Amendment and Dollar-Limit Increase to the Contract for the Police Records Management and Field-Based Reporting System for the Purchase of a Replacement Computer Aided Dispatch and Mobile Dispatch System for the Police Department and the Fire and Medical Department (Citywide)
The Police Department and Fire and Medical Department currently use a shared Hexagon Computer Aided Dispatch System (CAD) that is over 12 years old and is lacking in some of the technological advances found in a new system. The City’s current contract for the Police Record Management System (RMS), with Versaterm, Inc., includes an option for a CAD and Mobile Dispatch System. An evaluation committee unanimously agreed on the recommendation to utilize the CAD and Mobile Dispatch option contained in the existing RMS contract, which will provide the Police Department with a consolidated, single-source system for end-to-end record processing.
The Police Department, Fire and Medical Department, Information Technology Department, and Purchasing recommend the contract amendment and increasing the dollar-limit with Versaterm, Inc., by $1,615,362, from $3,065,307 to $4,680,669, based on estimated requirements.
