Dollar-Limit Increase to the Term Contract for Replacement Automated Vehicle Location Equipment and Related Services for Various City Departments as requested by the Information Technology Department (Citywide)
In 2017, the City began utilizing an Automated Vehicle Location solution (AVL) for tracking City vehicles using a GPS system and managing City vehicles’ location, speed, idle time, and other data. The increase is needed for additional purchases and use of AVL equipment and services by the Environmental Management and Sustainability, and the Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities Departments.
The Information Technology Department and Purchasing recommend increasing the dollar-limit with Marshall and Associates, dba MarshallGIS, by $122,000, from $96,884 to $218,884 for Year 3 of the initial three-year term.
