Title: Traffic Signal Cabinet Upgrades (Citywide) The Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) improvements project consists of removing, recycling, and replacing 44 traffic signal cabinets at various locations throughout the City. The existing 44 traffic signal cabinets are interconnected signals with outdated cabinets and aging controllers that are no longer supported by the manufacturer. Staff recommends awarding the contract for this project to the lowest, responsible bidder, Roadway Electric, LLC, in the amount of $1,420,499, and authorizing a change order allowance in the amount of $142,049.90 (10%), for a total of $1,562,548.90. This project is funded by Federal Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) Improvement Project Management grants (73.5%) and local funds provided by the City of Mesa Local Street Sales tax (26.5%).
