Three-Year Term Contract with Two Years of Renewal Options for Replacement SCADA Radios for the Materials and Supply Warehouse (for the Water and Energy Resources Departments) (Citywide)
This contract will provide SCADA radios for use by the water, wastewater and gas utilities staff to communicate from remote sites to the Utilities Control Center. The existing radios were installed between 2003 to 2005 and are at the end of their useful life. The Warehouse will stock these radios while the replacement process takes place over the next 5 to 7 years.
The Business Services Department and Purchasing recommend awarding the contract to the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder, Access Technologies Inc., at $238,800 annually, with an annual increase allowance of up to 5%, or the adjusted Consumer Price Index.
