Authorizing the City Manager to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Maricopa Fire Department to accept an award of $168,814.25 from the Assistance to Firefighters Grant. The grant funds will be used for training at the Virtual Incident Command Center (VICC) by the Mesa Fire and Medical Department and the other regional grant recipients: City of Maricopa Fire Department and The Arizona Fire and Medical Authority, City of Chandler, City of Peoria, City of Scottsdale, City of Sun City, Gila River Indian Community, Rio Verde Fire District, Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, and Town of Gilbert. A City of Mesa match of 15% is required, estimated at $29,790.75; the final amount will be determined upon completion of training. (Citywide)
