Purchase of a Spare Rotopress Screenings Compactor for the Water Resources Department (Sole Source) (Citywide)
This spare is essential for the headworks at the Northwest Water Reclamation Plant. If the plant’s existing press fails, it would cause operational problems for screening waste. A previous purchase of a replacement liner and auger screw for the plant on 4/11/2016, accumulated with this purchase requires Council approval.
The Water Resources Department and Purchasing recommend authorizing the purchase from the sole source vendor, Parkson Corporation, at $20,603.62. This purchase is funded by the Utility Replacement Extension and Renewal Fund.
