Purchase of Five Circuit Breakers for the Energy Resources Department (Citywide)
This purchase will provide five state-of-the-art circuit breakers to replace four existing, 25 plus year-old, obsolete oil circuit breakers at the Lewis and Robson Substations; one will be used as a spare. The new replacement breakers are required to maintain safety and reliability and to increase efficiency of the transmission of power into the substations.
The Energy Resources Department and Purchasing recommend awarding the contract to the lowest, responsive and responsible bidder, Anixter Power Solutions, at $208,795.37, based on estimated requirements.
