Purchase of Computer Disk Storage Hardware and Software for the Police Department as requested by the Information Technology Department (Citywide)
Based on the growth of electronic information needs within the Police Department from new project initiatives and normal data storage increases from operations, there is a need to expand their computer disk storage capacity. Measures have been implemented to control growth, but additional capacity is now needed to ensure the availability of critical data.
The Information Technology and Police Departments, and Purchasing recommend authorizing the purchase using The Cooperative Purchasing Network (TCPN) cooperative contract with X-IO Technologies, at $90,879.59.
