Dollar-Limit Increase to the Term Contract for Original Equipment Manufacturer Heavy-Duty Truck Parts and Repairs for the Fleet Services Department (Citywide)
This increase is needed because the manufacturer, DaDee Manufacturing, is no longer in business and the distributors/repair companies are no longer honoring DaDee warranties, thereby requiring Fleet Services to pay full repair costs when cylinders, control valves, etc., are sent out for repairs. Fleet Services estimates that an increase of $300,000 will be adequate for the repairs and parts needed through the end of the contract on 7/31/2020.
The Fleet Services Department and Purchasing recommend increasing the dollar-limit using the Maricopa County cooperative contract with Empire Southwest, LLC (a Mesa business); Drake Equipment; Kenz & Leslie of Arizona; Lubrication Equipment and Supply Company; Norwood Equipment, Inc.; PTO Sales; and RDO Equipment; Freightliner of Arizona, Titan Machinery Inc., and Balar Holding Company; by $300,000, from $200,000 to $500,000 annually, based on estimated usage.
