Three-Year Term Contract with Two Years of Renewal Options for Scott Self Contained Breathing Apparatus Air Equipment and Repair Parts for the Mesa Fire and Medical Department (Single Response) (Citywide)
This equipment is used to provide breathable air to firefighters in environments that are immediately dangerous to life or health. This contract will provide Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) parts, supplies and equipment based on need and for expansion over the next three years. Replacement equipment will be used to replace damaged and approaching end-of-life SCBA bottles and masks.
The Mesa Fire and Medical Department and Purchasing recommend awarding the contract to the single, responsive, and responsible bidder, Municipal Emergency Services, at $355,000 annually, with an annual increase allowance of up to 5%, or the adjusted Consumer Price Index.
